BIG Community Sports Festivals

Wednesday, August 1, 2018 to Wednesday, August 29, 2018

Community sports festivals are being held across the city every Wednesday during the six week school holidays.

As well as sports taster sessions provided by community sports clubs, a variety of other fun family activities will be available for all ages. Typically the sports and activities on offer will include:

Football, rugby, martial arts, netball, cricket, mini golf, volleyball, trampolining, led runs, walks and cycle rides, traditional sports day games and many more family activities!

Wristbands will be available to buy at each festival for £1 which will allow access to all activities.

 

1 August      Washington Community Sports Festival             Princess Anne Park

8 August      West Community Sports Festival                        Barnes Park

15 August     North Community Sports Festival                      Seaburn Beach and Promenade

22 August     East Community Sports Festival                        Mowbray Park

29 August     Coalfields Community Sports Festival               Herrington Country Park
