Sunderland has a great selection of restaurants, bars and nightlife suitable for all tastes and budgets. Many of our restaurants and bars are located in the city centre, but there are some excellent venues located on the outskirts of the city centre and at the coast, as well as high quality establishments a bit further afield in Washington and Houghton-le-Spring. The listings below will state where they are located, but you can also search for a restaurant or bar on the interactive map in the plan your visit section.
